Emergency First Aid at Work (1 Day) 

The one day Emergency First Aid at Work qualification (RQF) has been specifically designed inline with the Health and Safety Executives guidance on First Aid at Work Regulations. The course is designed for businesses and individuals whose processes hold a lower risk potential following a First Aid risk assessment.

First Aid at Work (3 Days)

The Level 3, three day First Aid at Work qualification (RQF) provides the practical skills required by a First Aider in the modern workplace, together with the confidence and knowledge necessary to deal with First Aid emergencies. The course is suitable for businesses and individuals whose processes hold a higher risk potential following a First Aid  risk assessment. 

 

First Aid at Work Refresher (2 Day)

The two day Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW) Refresher Course updates the First Aid skills for people who need to renew their statutory First Aid at work certificate and those people who have an existing certificate that is still valid. First Aiders whose certificates have expired by more than 28 days will have to attend the full three day First Aid at work course. The course will provide an update of existing skills and refresh candidate’s knowledge of the current First Aid at work syllabus.

 

Automated External Defibrillator (AED 1/2 Day)

In the United Kingdom, a person suffers a Heart Attack every two minutes and seconds are vital when dealing with Cardiac Arrest situations. Immediate Basic Life Support (BLS) and rapid Defibrillation can be the difference between a life or death outcome for the patient. This half-day course requires no previous First Aid knowledge and teaches the essential skills required to use an AED and to administer quality Basic Life Support.

Paediatric First Aid (2 Day)  

The QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) qualification has been designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid to children and/or babies. This qualification fulfils Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and childminders as defined within the Statutory Framework for Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 and within the Child Care Register Guide.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid (1 Day)

This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop the basic skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency paediatric first aid situations which could arise when looking after children.

Please note: This qualification does not fulfil Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and child minders (as defined within the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 and within The Child Care Register guide). Those who need to comply with Ofsted’s Childcare Register or EYFS requirements should complete the 2 day QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF).

Activity First Aid (2 Day)

The QA Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid qualification (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid when dealing with an emergency situation whilst undertaking activities, such as sports, swimming, hiking, rock climbing etc.

During this 2 day course, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, head and spinal injuries, abdominal injuries, external bleeding, anaphylaxis and more.

Forestry First Aid +F (3 Hrs)

The Level 3 Forestry First Aid +F (RQF) qualification is ideal for those that work or intend to work in a forestry, agricultural or remote environment, such as tree surgeons and farmers.This short, yet informative course provides Learners with the knowledge and practical competencies needed for the treatment of injuries and diseases that could occur whilst working in a forestry/agricultural specific environment. Topics covered are: extreme hot and cold temperatures, managing catastrophic bleeding, crush injuries adder bites and lyme disease.

This qualification is intended to be delivered in conjunction with a regulated first aid qualification (minimum of 1 day) and will confirm the Learner’s abilities to meet a ‘licence to practice’ as determined by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the recommendations in the First Aid at Work – Forestry Commission Policy.

Life Threatening Haemorrhage Control (3Hrs)

A practical hands-on training course to giving learners the skills and confidence to deliver rapid emergency care to a person suffering a severe/life threatening bleed. The content is relevant to large scale incidents and violent attacks such as knife crime.
